Hot summer night, glass-like water conditions just too inviting not to jump in for a swim in the dreamlike phosphoresce.

Skipper's Report

Beautiful evening setting off with our group of happy cruisers including guests from G Adventures. It's was a hot balmy evening and everyone got into their swimsuits as soon as they boarded, while target shooting we cruised our way around Tapeka Point, passed Long Beach and stopped a remote beach off Paroa.

Electric Bay provided us with a calm anchorage for the night, plenty of snapper bitting but none big enough to make it to the dinner table. The wind dropped to give us flat glassy water, too inviting not to jump in for another swim in the amazing phosphoresce and a late night of card playing.

A few extra guests joined us on our Day Cruise before we set off for snorkelling at Palm Beach followed by our Island stop off at Roberton Island with its twin lagoons. After enjoying the stunning view from the top of Roberton and some fun and games on the beach we enjoy a much-welcomed lunch as we cruise back to Paihia Wharf.
