Skipper's Report

Escaping the hustle and bustle of the city life, The Rock Boat Adventure Cruise departed from Paihia port at exactly 5:24 pm, as our crew together with our 7 passengers made underway to Roberton Island. Also known as Motuarohia Island, it is one of the main attractions of The Rock Adventure Cruise, with its picturesque beach and stunning lagoons. It is the perfect location to take your Instagram photos.

As we drifted into the afternoon while enjoying the scenic route the boys had their take on target shooting and fishing. Maybe it was beginner’s luck, but they sure didn’t have a hard time hooking some Snappers. As a tradition, we asked them to give the Snapper a kiss for the camera before we released little ones into the water. It was nice to see everyone enjoying the great outdoors as much as we do here in The Rock Adventures.

We finally arrived at Roberton Island for our overnight anchorage. We enjoyed the delicious dinner prepared by the crew then followed by drinks and more time to get cozy and share pleasantries.

The guests woke up to a beautiful sunrise and the smell of Kiwi breakfast prepared for their final day cruise. We made sure they were filled up to have the energy for the rest of the activities we had in store. First on the list was snorkeling; it really provided the adrenaline rush needed to kick off the day. It was hard to keep track of time when there’s plenty of marine life waiting to be discovered. The exploration continues, this time inland, as we walked up the hill to the viewing platform of Motuarohia Track to see one of the best views the Bay of Islands has to offer. Spent some downtime by the beach to cool down and take in the moment.

When we returned to the boat a delectable spread of seafood was prepared for lunch as we headed back to Pahia port. We finished off the trip with a Kina shot to give them a real taste of the sea. Another round of fantastic intimate cruise for the books!
