Outdoor Recreation Grad on a mission
Sondra grew up in the small mountain town of Auburn in California. Hiking, swimming, camping, and boating were some of her favourite activities as a kid.
Her interests now include yoga & mindfulness, backpacking/ tramping, rock climbing, water sports such as kayak, SUP, snorkel/scuba ... oh and the busy wee thing has just started to learn to sail.
Some of the highlights on her travels have been leading a week-long canoe trip near the boundary waters in Canada. Thailand to scuba dive in Ko Tao, rock climbing in Krabi, and treking across the jungle to the villages of Chang Mai. It was during a three week trip across the States with some kiwi friends she had met while working at a summer camp that she decided that NZ was the right fit for her.
She graduated with my degree in Outdoor Recreation Management with a focus on experiential education. She came to NZ to learn more about the tourism industry through hands-on experiences, meet new people, and to adventure our beautiful country of course!
