Jonny grew up in England, with a strong passion for the outdoors. He decided that the weekends were not enough to pursue his passions, so left to go traveling. Spending seven years in SE Asia, he now lives in Paihia in the beautiful Bay of Islands with his wife Sarah and their daughter Scarlett. He is passionate about the tourism industry and if you don’t find him at The Rock, he will either be with the Paihia Volunteer Fire Brigade or out on a trail running.
Jonny also moonlights as Skipper of The Rock, so not only will you get great service from him as skipper - he'll also happily answer answer any questions you have about The Rock and how she came to be!
