Think you don't have enough time, but still want to stay onboard The Rock,  then maybe our Bed & Breakfast Overnight Cruise is for you? Including a cruise through the Bay of Islands, target shooting, dusk fishing and night kayaking.

Accommodation in shared cabins, activities, dinner, breakfast and a shuttle back to Paihia included. Cabins can be upgraded to private cabins and you can do this when you book online.

  • Day 1

Start: 5:00 pm, END: 7:00 pm (approx)

We depart at 5 pm from the Paihia Wharf, after settling into your ocean view cabin you can relax with a drink and enjoy the cruise out to the islands. Give target shooting a go as we cruise past Russell, take a chance at a game of pool or relax and get to know your fellow travellers.

  • Day 1

Start: 7pm (approx), END: 9pm (approx)

Once on anchor in a sheltered bay we'll drop the lines over the side for a spot of dusk fishing. A healthy snapper is a welcome addition to an already delicious dinner (subject to guest's fishing ability, of course!). We sit down to dinner as the sun sets over the islands. The perfect time to swap tales about the one who got away, background stories and get to know the crew.

  • Day 1

Start: 9pm (approx), END: up to you

After dinner you join us night kayaking (and we highly recommend you do!) to marvel in the phosphorescence (some call it "fairy dust") and lie back for a star-gazing session - your guide will point out the major constellations, planets and galaxies. Don't forget to listen out for the sound of Kiwi calling.  If you're still up for action, you can jump in the sea for a night swim before settling in for a drink by the fire.

  • Day 2

Start: 8:00 am, END: 9:30 am

Sunrise at sea is spectacular - and on The Rock, you can watch it from your bed if you're not an early bird! If you're up early enough, you might even get a chance for a quick wake-up swim with the crew. The breakfast bell goes at 8am. We serve a traditional kiwi breakfast before you join our sea shuttle which gets you back to the Paihia wharf by 9.30am.

Think you want more activities or want to stay on board The Rock longer? Then maybe the Classic Overnight Cruise is for you.
